We just came back from Detroit

In our latest trip to Detroit, we met up with Kojo and Dara in their apartment overlooking the river. We then took Kojo’s car to Birmingham, Alabama and he led us through his life as a young man and the riots in Birmingham, especially the incident at the 16th Street Church, where 3 little girls were murdered by the KKK in 1964. This is the incident that spurred the Civil Rights movement, and Kojo was there. It was very exciting following his life through his hometown, meeting his sister and learning more about our main character.
